General Comments

It was a real physical challenge, but I enjoyed meeting the challenges each day.  Great way to spend a day walking from campsite to campsite, taking in the diversity of forest and landscape, flora and fauna.

Food/Supplies Comments

My dehydrated meals were yummy.  Lots of dehydrated fruit in trail mix made it delicious.  Chocolate at the end of each day was essential.  I hate tuna now.

Favourite Section

The high places with lovely view in the northern section. The southern coastal views were stunning.  So many beautifully located campsites.

Highlights

Spending 52 days with Tim, laughing, enjoying the whole journey.  Sharing the shelters and the walk with some absolutely delightful people who added so much to the pleasure of our journey.

Personal Reactions

It was really hard work most days and my body and feet hurt at the end of most days.

Wildlife

Just loved the ‘roos’ sitting and watching after quietly bounding away.  Great to see so many families of red tailed cockatoos.  Got used to snakes!!

Your Best Equipment

Thermarest sleeping mat and spork.

Your Worst Equipment

Didn’t have any.

Advice for Others

Train lots, dehydrate your own meals and laugh and have fun no matter what is happening.  Go to the End to Enders workshop talk to as many trekkers beforehand. Take LOTS of Fixomull.
