General Comments
The bonding of all end to end walkers over the full course of the walk. Exception courage and plain ‘guts’ put in by Sandy to overcome a foot problem - for Stuart & Mary nothing was too much trouble to assist all walker once off the Track.
Food/Supplies Comments
Food drops were excellent. Could have a higher selection variety and more.
Favourite Section
Return to Nerang to see the shelter after it has been rebuild and the vegetation regrowth after the fires.
Highlights
Cross the line at Kalamunda and having special friends there to greet me.
Personal Reactions
Walking under the raised walking sticks by sectional walkers - sudden rush of memories when they were on the Track with us.
Wildlife
Kangaroos, pig, signs of emus - missed the whales - birdlife tops.
Your Best Equipment
Mattress - it may have been large but it was comfortable.
Your Worst Equipment
Trying to use old equipment when there are new and better ones available.
Advice for Others
Go out and do it at your own pace. Me I will stay on ‘slow and steady’ to cross the line with pacing myself for the full walk.
