General Comments
My experiences on the Track have been quite marvellous in that for the whole way from Kalamunda to Albany the wildflowers were at their peak, I had good weather and overall the Track and the shelters were wonderful.
Favourite Section
Northern jarrah/marri/wandoo forests and their wildflowers.
My favourite shelter was Blackwood because the afternoon I spent there was so magical with the sun shining, bees working their magic and wallabies in the bracken below and of course the vista.
Highlights
Some of the highlights of my walk besides the wildflowers, the jarrah, marri, wandoo, karri and tingle forests.
1. Walking over the domes of Mts Vincent, Cuthbert, Cooke, Boonering Hill and the southern summits of the White Horse Hills.
2. The first views of the Southern ocean and Chatham Island at Mandalay Beach with the promise of what was to come.
3. Climbing Mt Clare with that staggeringly beautiful Karri forest unfolding around you.
