Torbay Inlet Breach

The Torbay Inlet sand bar was opened to the sea on the 6th May by the Water Corporation. It is expected to stay open for a few weeks, depending on the weather.
Walkers will need to use the diversion until the sand bar forms again. The green diversion route is marked on Map 8 Dec 2003 (side B) and which goes around Torbay Inlet, following the Lower Denmark Rd. Walkers should also contact the Albany DEC district for more information.
