Come along to a relaxed evening walk to the new Mt Cooke campsite (6km return). Along the way see and hear about the results of the Mt Cooke bush fire in January 2003 and the deliberately lit fire of January 2005. We will be joined by Stuart Harrison from DEC who will talk about his experience with the fires. Hear how the fires started and what followed. Enjoy a BYO picnic supper at the campsite. Return to the vehicles by torch light in the cool of night.
